Now here is one man we have all enjoyed having had our lives "overlap" with!! In his passing I am sure he is at peace with the choices he made and glad that he did them when his life was at its full. Cynthia, if you are reading on - Ray's memory will never fade...you have been truly blessed as have we.

Ray Franz Passed Away Today
by Amazing ini just received word that ray franz passed away today at 1:37 pm eastern daylight time.
the cause of death is stated as head trauma, likely due to falling to the ground, and a stroke could have also been part of the cause or a result of the fall.
he died at emory university hospital in atlanta about 17 minutes after being taken off life support.

Ray Franz has had a stroke
by coffee_black injust setting the record straight.
there is another thread that notes a claim on wiki that said that ray has died.. he had a stroke yesterday, and is in the hospital.
he is still alive.

If this is true I hope he recovers. I am suprised that what he went through did not take its toll eralier on him. His modesty, humilty and patience despite the adversity has surely helped him over the years. Get well soon Ray, you are deeply loved by thousands of us who read C0C and wept.

Has anyone had a WT literature burning party?
by lepermessiah ini keep staring at the bookshelf full of wt literature in my house and keep having visions of a red-orange glow as the flames crawl higher and higher.
my goal is to gather it all together, douse it with lighter fluid, and watch it go!.
ultimately, i dream of my wife being the one who strikes the match and joins me in the celebration.. has anyone had that experience?

Circ. Ass. Last Weekend...oh boy!
by tresdecu inso i had to suffer through the ca last weekend, it was rough at 1st, i was actually sick to my stomach the night before, fortunately my little boy kept me occupied during the session and i got to walk around a lot.. the do cracked down on 'true christians' watching vampire movies aka....twilight.
i know this series is hugely popular with a lot of teens and 20somthings, even a young elder and his wife (mostly the wife) are really into them.. he said true christians just don't watch such things.
haha.

Anything that involves you spending money that otherwise should be going to the WBT$ they will condemn. Consider in the US if 10% of R&F went to see just one such movie a year = 100K x $25 = $2.5 Million!!! That is what they see - the value proposition nothing more, nothing less.

My family was continually a victim of sewer level slander (not even gossip that resulted in murder - not physical but a character assassination. We simply had enough and stopped going and putting our health at risk.
Recommendation of the elders ' turn the other cheek, there will always be gossip, continue putting up with one another in love" I am not sure about others on this board but in 25 years I was part of this sham I was never exposed to so much gossip, slader and petty jealousy from those I associated with in the so called "world". Quite frankly, if a non-Dub said something I had the choice to not associate with them anymore - not allowed with the R&F Dubs - keep on loving one another.
I have a fairly high profile job in the community and I came in contact with many people from all walks of life - yet never have I had to deal with what I did with the Dubs - because non-Dub's simply do not get off on purient scatalogical interests that seem to give Dub's their jollies.
I am so glad I do not have to sit through this drivel anymore.
